League Tables and Top Scorers

This page shows the live standings and the top scorers of the five biggest European leagues: the Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1. The numbers come from our data provider and refresh every hour.

Tables are the first thing to check before a pick. A team chasing a title or fighting relegation plays differently from one with nothing left to play for, and the table shows which is which.

Every league also has its own page, with the predictions, results, table and scorers together.

What does a football league table show?

Each row is a team: matches played (P), wins (W), draws (D), losses (L), goal difference (GD) and points (Pts). Three points for a win and one for a draw decide the order; goal difference separates teams level on points in most leagues.

The top scorers list shows the leading goal scorers of each league with their goals, assists and penalties, so you can see who carries a team's attack.

What is an example of reading a table before a pick?

An illustration only:

  • Team A: fourth, three points off the top and unbeaten in six
  • Team B: twelfth, with nothing to play for and two injuries to defenders
  • What it suggests: a motivated side at home to one with little to gain, which supports a home win or a double chance

A table is context, not a prediction. It tells you what each side wants from the match, which the form figures alone do not.

How does 4CastBet use the league tables?

The table is one of the inputs of every league pick:

  • Position and points: the gap between the two teams and what is at stake for each.
  • Goal difference: a quick read of how strong a team's attack and defence are over the season.
  • Home and away: the model reads a team's home and away results separately, not only the total.

How to make effective use of the tables?

A table is most useful alongside the form:

  • Check the stakes: title, European places and relegation make teams play for the result.
  • Read the scorers: a team that depends on one scorer is exposed when he is missing.
  • Look at the trend: the table is a season total. Recent form can be very different.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on League Tables

How often are the tables updated?

Every hour, from our data provider. Live matches can change the table between updates.

Which leagues are on this page?

The Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1. Every other league has its own page under the leagues list.

How is a tie in points broken?

In most leagues by goal difference, then goals scored. Some leagues use head-to-head results first, which is why the order can differ from the goal difference.
