What are football prediction results?

A result is the outcome of a published pick: won, lost or void, decided against the real final score from our data provider. A pick is only settled once its match has finished, and nothing is edited afterwards.

A void pick, for a postponed or abandoned match, is not counted as a win or a loss.

What is an example of a settled pick?

An illustration only:

  • Pick: over 1.5 goals at 1.30
  • Final score: 2-1, three goals in total
  • Mark: won

The same pick on a 1-0 would be marked lost and would count against the win rate of the over 1.5 market, exactly as a win counts for it.

How does 4CastBet settle its results?

Settling is automatic and the same for every pick:

  • The score: the final score of the match is read from the data provider once the match is finished.
  • The rule: each pick is judged by its market's rule: result after 90 minutes, total goals, both teams to score.
  • The record: won, lost or void is stored with the pick and counted in the accuracy page. It is never changed.

How to make effective use of the results?

Results are the best test of a prediction site:

  • Count the losses: a record with no losses is not a record. Look for the red marks.
  • Look at the market: a site can be strong in one market and weak in another. The accuracy page splits them.
  • Judge over weeks: a day tells you little. Use the 30 and 90 day views.

How are the results worked out?

Each pick is settled automatically against the real final score from the data provider. A pick is only counted once the match has finished.

Do you show the losing picks?

Yes. The win rate is wins divided by all settled picks, and the losses are shown next to the wins. Every finished pick on the board also carries a won or lost mark.

Do past results guarantee future wins?

No. A good record says the method has worked, not that the next pick will win.
