How 4CastBet predictions Work
A football prediction is an estimate, not a promise. Understanding what goes into it makes you a better judge of any tip, including ours. Here is how a prediction on 4CastBet is put together.
1. Recent form
The starting point is how each team has performed lately, split by home and away. A side that has won four of its last five at home is treated very differently from one that has lost three away in a row. The form dots next to every team in our tables show the last five results at a glance.
2. Goal patterns
Goals decide matches, so we look at how often each team scores and concedes. Two attacking sides with leaky defences point towards over 2.5 goals and both teams to score. Two cautious sides point the other way. This is where the over/under and BTTS tips come from.
3. Head-to-head and style
Some fixtures repeat the same story year after year. Head-to-head results and tactical style help explain why a team that looks stronger on paper keeps struggling against a particular opponent.
4. Odds and value
Bookmaker odds contain a lot of information. We compare our own view with the price to find picks where the odds look fair or generous. A likely result at very short odds is not automatically a good bet, which is why every tip shows its odds.
What a prediction cannot do
- It cannot see a red card, a late injury or a deflected goal.
- It cannot guarantee a result. Even a strong pick loses sometimes.
- It cannot replace your own judgement about stakes and risk.
How to check for yourself
The honest test of any tipster is the record. We keep every result on the site: open the yesterday results to see what was predicted and how the matches finished, then compare with the predictions for today.
Different markets, different questions
The same data answers different questions depending on the market. See how it is used for over 2.5 goals predictions, both teams to score predictions, double chance predictions and draw predictions.
