1X2 Prediction

1X2 is the match-result market and the starting point of football betting: 1 is a home win, X is a draw and 2 is an away win. The table above lists every game where our headline pick is one of the three, with its price and the recent form of both teams.

Each pick comes from 4CastBet's mathematical football prediction and AI tips: a mathematical model gives the three results a probability, and the pick shown is the one that is likeliest and priced sensibly.

A 1X2 pick is a single result, so it loses on either of the other two. If you want cover, the double chance page lists the pairs.

What does 1X2 mean in football betting?

You bet on the result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. A home win pays on 1, a draw on X and an away win on 2. Extra time and penalties do not count, which matters for cup ties.

The three prices carry a bookmaker margin, so their implied chances add up to more than 100%. Removing the margin is how we compare the market with our own probabilities.

What is an example of a 1X2 prediction?

An illustration only, not a prediction:

  • Prices: home 1.80, draw 3.60, away 4.60
  • Implied chances: about 56%, 28% and 22%, which add to 106% because of the margin
  • After the margin: roughly 52%, 26% and 21%

If the model rates the home side at 58%, the home win is worth listing because its chance is higher than the market's.

How does 4CastBet generate its 1X2 predictions?

A result is called when three things agree:

  • Form and goals: wins, goals scored and conceded and the home and away split for both sides.
  • Head-to-head: the recent meetings between the two teams and who tends to control them.
  • Prices: the bookmaker prices with the margin removed, so the pick has a fair price.

How to make effective use of 1X2 tips?

The simplest market is easy to use badly:

  • Do not force a result: if you cannot see why a game is not a draw, a double chance or a goals market may be a better fit.
  • Respect the price: the shortest price is the likeliest result, and it pays the least.
  • Check the news: injuries and rotation change a result more than a table does.
